Scenario 2 - Cross Cancer
“My sister and I were at the Cross Cancer institute with my mom, who was undergoing treatment for late stage cancer. She was verysick and spoke very slowly, but she was alert and knew what was going on. The doctor came in to discuss treatment options. He directed all of his questions to me and my sister, even though my mom was right there. I said to him, ‘The person you need to talk to is sitting right across from you.’”
